About Sabero

What Sabero is, who it is designed for, and what sets it apart from other Colombian ICFES Saber 11 prep options.

4 questions

Sabero is a Colombian ICFES Saber 11 exam preparation platform with 3,000+ official-format questions — with nearly 1,000 new ones added each month — a per-question AI tutor, a personal AI coach, timed mock exams, Item Response Theory (IRT) score estimates, and detailed analytics by subject. It is available in Spanish and English and requires no credit card to start.

Sabero is designed for Colombian 10th and 11th grade students preparing for the ICFES Saber 11 exam, and also for students who want to improve their score on a second attempt.

Sabero is a Colombian platform built specifically for the ICFES Saber 11 exam. The content, questions, and system context are designed for the Colombian education system.

Sabero stands out on three fronts: the AI tutor that explains each question step by step without giving the direct answer, the IRT score estimate —the same methodology as the official ICFES— and the AI coach that personalizes the study plan based on the student's history.

AI Tutor and AI Coach

How in-exam tutoring works and what the coach does with your history.

5 questions

The AI tutor activates inside the exam and explains each question step by step, without revealing the direct answer. It guides the student through questions, develops the reasoning, and accepts unlimited follow-up questions. It responds in Spanish or English depending on the configured language.

The AI coach knows the student's full history: exams taken, scores, subject accuracy, and error patterns. With that, it recommends which exams to take, helps plan study before the ICFES, and answers platform questions. The plan updates automatically after each completed exam.

The AI tutor does not give the direct answer. Instead, it guides the student with questions, explains the concepts involved, and develops the reasoning step by step — so learning is real, not just memorizing options.

The AI tutor is available in every exam mode, including timed mock exams. It activates with a single click on the current question and does not interrupt the exam timer.

The AI coach recommends a study plan based on the student's current performance, the subjects with the most room for improvement, and the ICFES exam date. The plan updates automatically after each completed exam.

Questions and item bank

Official ICFES Saber 11 format, bank size, per-question explanations, and AI-generated variations.

4 questions

Sabero's questions follow the official ICFES Saber 11 format: reading contexts, four answer options, and the five exam subjects — Critical Reading, Mathematics, Social Studies and Citizenship, Natural Sciences, and English. The questions are original, not leaked from previous official exams.

From the view of any question you can generate AI variations. Each variation keeps the same topic, difficulty, and format but poses a completely different scenario — ideal for practicing a concept without repeating the same question.

The bank has more than 3,000 questions in ICFES Saber 11 format, and nearly 1,000 new ones are added each month. On top of that, the AI can generate variations of any question, making the bank effectively unlimited.

Every question has an AI-generated explanation covering the correct answer and why the other three options are not. Available right after you answer each question.

Mock exams and tests

Timed mock exams with Saber 11 format, practice modes, and exams built to your specifications.

3 questions

The exam builder lets you pick subject, difficulty level, number of questions, duration, and filters — for example, only previously failed questions. The resulting exam is timed and saved in history like any other mock exam.

Mock exams include a real timer that replicates ICFES Saber 11 pacing. The suggested time per question is shown during the exam and progress is saved automatically if you close the window.

Sabero allows unlimited mock exams with an active subscription. There is no limit on attempts per exam or per day.

Flashcards and review

Spaced repetition, automatic flashcard generation from questions, and daily study streak.

2 questions

Flashcards are generated from any question in the bank or after an exam and use spaced repetition: cards the student struggles to remember show up more often, reinforcing long-term retention.

In addition to AI-generated flashcards, you can create cards manually from the view of any question. Manual flashcards integrate with the same spaced repetition system.

IRT score

How Item Response Theory works, the 0–500 scale, and how your score is estimated after each exam.

3 questions

Sabero's IRT score is an estimate of the student's ability level computed with Item Response Theory (IRT), the same statistical methodology the official ICFES uses to compute the Saber 11 score. It updates after each completed exam.

Sabero's IRT score is an estimate based on the same ICFES methodology, but it is not the official score. It works as a comparative indicator of the student's level. The real score depends on the calibration of the official ICFES questions, which is confidential.

Sabero estimates the student's ability level with IRT after each exam. This estimate is indicative —it does not guarantee a specific score on the real ICFES—, but it shows improvement trends and the subjects that need more practice.

Languages and availability

Available in Spanish and English, as a web app and installable PWA on iOS and Android.

3 questions

Sabero is available in Spanish (es-CO, default) and English (en). The language can be changed at any time from the profile or the selector in the top bar. The AI coach, AI tutor, and explanations respond in the configured language.

Sabero works as a Progressive Web App (PWA) on Android and iOS. It can be installed from the browser onto the device's home screen and works with an internet connection. It does not require a download from the App Store or Play Store.

Sabero requires an internet connection for mock exams, the AI tutor, the AI coach, and analytics. Some review features may be available offline, but the full experience requires a connection.

Pricing and subscription

Available plans, free trial with no card, how to cancel, and how charges work.

4 questions

Sabero's monthly plan costs $9.900 COP/month with a 51% launch discount that has no guaranteed expiration and can be withdrawn at any time. The first 7 days are completely free and require no credit card.

The monthly subscription can be canceled before the next renewal from the user profile, with no contracts or commitment. For quarterly and semi-annual plans, access is maintained until the end of the paid period.

The launch price can change without prior notice: the promotion has no guaranteed expiration date. Students with an active plan keep the contracted price until the end of that period, with no increases mid-subscription.

Sabero does not charge automatically when the free trial ends because no card is requested at sign-up. To continue, the student must enter a payment method and select a plan manually.

About the ICFES exam

What the ICFES Saber 11 is, how many subjects it has, how the score is calculated, and when it is given.

3 questions

The ICFES Saber 11 evaluates five subjects according to the official ICFES orientation guide: Critical Reading, Mathematics, Social Studies and Citizenship, Natural Sciences, and English. Each subject has its own module and independent score, and Sabero covers all five with more than 3,000 questions in total, adding nearly 1,000 new ones each month.

The ICFES Saber 11 is Colombia's state examination taken by 11th grade students at the end of secondary education. Its results are the main admission criterion for most Colombian universities. It is administered by ICFES (Instituto Colombiano para la Evaluación de la Educación) and is offered twice a year.

The ICFES Saber 11 score is calculated with Item Response Theory (IRT), a statistical model that considers not only the number of correct answers but also the difficulty of each question. The global score is a weighted average of the five subjects, on a scale that approximately ranges from 0 to 500.
